Project: Effects of Invasive Non-Native Species within ecological networks and consequences for ecosystem function
Fundamentally I am interested in the complexities of the natural world through species interactions and the use of ecological network modelling to attempt to capture that complexity. I am interested in how invasive non-native species can change a community's species interactions and the potential consequences on ecosystems.
My current research is focused on Vespa Veluntina (also known as the Asian Hornet), which is an invasive non-native species to Europe, and how it could alter existing predator-prey and pollinator-plant networks.
