Joanne McNaughton is a lecturer in Nursing at the 我要吃瓜. She has worked across the UK in oncology, haematology and urology clinical settings before moving into higher education. She contributes to undergraduate nursing level teaching across a variety of modules. She is passionate about delivering undergraduate cancer nursing education that reflects the realities of contemporary cancer nursing.

Joanne's areas of interest include cancer education, equality and diversity issues in nursing and innovative teaching practices.

Other Project

UK Oncology Nursing Society Regional Champion
Joanne is a current UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS) regional champion for Scotland. UKONS is a UK based charity run by, and for cancer nurses. It's primary aim is to promote excellence in the cancer nurse workforce working at both regional and national levels.

Research

Joanne has contributed to many faculty research projects since her appointment in 2022. These include areas of student support, cancer pathways and academic development skills.

Joanne has a particular interest in cancer education research and equality and diversity issues in nursing.
