我要吃瓜 me
I am currently pursuing my PhD, researching the weaponization of water and its humanitarian impacts, with a detailed case study on Turkey and Syria. My work critically examines how the strategic manipulation and governance of water resources can influence political stability and produce severe humanitarian consequences. Within a broader framework of resource management, conflict prevention, and sustainable development, my research aims to provide new insights into mitigating resource-related tensions and promoting human security in the Middle East.
I hold a Master’s degree in International Affairs from King’s College London, where I specialized in the protection of women and children in conflict zones, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the American University of Beirut.
In addition to my academic credentials, I have over twenty years of experience volunteering with humanitarian NGOs, working directly in conflict-affected areas, which has deepened my understanding of the complex interplay between resource scarcity, conflict dynamics, and humanitarian crises.
Professionally, I am an accredited multilingual journalist based in Dubai Media City, where I leverage my linguistic skills (Arabic, English, and French) and cultural insights to communicate complex issues effectively. Furthermore, I am a published author of two Arabic poetry collections, reflecting my passion for literature and cultural expression.
As the founder and owner of a private company registered in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), I have developed and demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, and organizational capabilities. These entrepreneurial experiences further enrich my scholarly pursuits by grounding them in practical, real-world insights.
The integration of my academic training, humanitarian experience, journalistic expertise, literary contributions, and entrepreneurial achievements uniquely positions me to approach global challenges from a deeply interdisciplinary perspective.
