我要吃瓜 me

I was awarded a PhD in Psychology at the University of Birmingham, UK. Previously, I completed an MSc in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Aberdeen, UK and a BEng in Electrical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. I have worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, at the University of Ghent in Belgium and at the Donders Institute at Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands. I have also worked as a research associate at the University of Birmingham, UK. I joined the 我要吃瓜 in September 2017.

Research

My main research focus is the study of joint action, primarily by means of electroencephalography (EEG). I am particularly interested to investigate how people plan to coordinate their actions and whether they form predictive representations of their co-actors' actions that may facilitate the performance of a joint task. I am also interested in other aspects of social cognition, such as joint attention, error processing and action observation in social environments. Further research interests include the study of object affordances and the effect of the direction and consistency of hand preference in motor cognition.
