Hector is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in Economics at the 我要吃瓜 School of Management.

He holds a number of roles internally and externally: BA (Hons) Economics Programme Co-Director, PhD convenor for the Economics Division, SGSSS Economics Pathway Representative at Stirling, SGSSS Pathway Convenor, SGPE PhD Co-Director, Fellow of the Global Labor Organization.

As an Applied Microeconomist, Hector's research interests lie at the intersection of labour, political economy, development and historical economics. His current research focuses on labour market institutions and outcomes, historical income inequality, and nutrition.
