Dr Natalia Liebnitz is a Lecturer of Creative Writing at Stirling.

Prior to the post, she gained a Master’s in Education in Boston and taught for fifteen years in Scottish and American school systems, working primarily with students with neurodiverse learning styles. She returned to academia with a Master’s in Scottish Literature, before completing a PhD in English (Creative Writing).

Natalia has published four novels with HarperCollins UK and has a further three scheduled for 2024 and 2025 with Penguin Random House, under various pseudonyms. Her debut novel was endorsed by Amnesty International in 2016 and longlisted for the Dublin International Literary Award in 2018. Her third novel won Nottingham’s Big City Reads in 2019, taking joint first place with Alice Oseman’s ‘Heartstopper’, and her fourth was included in The Independent's list of '15 Best YA books'. Natalia has appeared at several author events, including London Comic Con, the Young Adult Literature Convention (YALC), Ireland's DeptCon, and the Edinburgh Book Festival.

Natalia is currently working on her eighth novel.
