Seyed received his PhD from Southampton Business School in 2022 and was awarded an MSc in Engineering Business Management by University of Sussex in 2015. His PhD centred on safety assessment and risk analysis of AI-based autonomous systems and their applications in urban environments. Seyed undertook a PhD placement at Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV) in 2022 to explore the potential impacts of CAVs on carbon emissions within road transport. Prior to that, he joined Northumbria University in 2021 as a research fellow to assess the integration of AI and Big Data Analytics into the UK automotive sector’s logistics and supply chain systems, focusing on inventory management implications. Beyond academia, he has spent several years in industry in the capacity of project manager and strategy analyst.
