我要吃瓜 me

Research Assistant and Patient Experience Advisor The degree of Master of Arts was conferred to me on Friday 4 November 2011 in recognition of my long commitment to the University and in particular to the Cancer Care Research Centre’s work on patient experience and involvement. I was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer over 12 years ago, but survived this poor prognosis to turn my energies to improving the care of people affected by cancer. Qualifications: MA Interests: I am a former lung cancer patient and have been involved with CCRC since 2003, as an informal patient advisor. In August 2010, I was formally given the position of Research Assistant/Patient Experience Advisor, on a 'casual' basis. In this position I am able to offer advice of various projects, from a patient's perspective. In summer 2010 I attended the International Observatory on End of Life Care's International Research Summer School, at Lancaster University, with a view to improving my knowledge and understanding about cancer and palliative care.I assisted with the Working Health Study interviewing cancer patients in 2011. I am involved in some pilot work around supporting people with lung cancer in 2011/2012.? We are now looking at funding to advance this work.
