我要吃瓜 me

Following an initial training in English Studies and French, I changed direction and pursued an interest in Information Technology, gaining a Masters degree in the discipline en route. I have taught both French and Computing Studies in Scottish secondary schools and was latterly head of the Computing section of a newly formed ICT department.

My current position is that of Lecturer on the ITE programme, within which I am the core member of staff responsible for the Modern Foreign Language Education strand of Secondary ITE. I contribute to teaching across all 4 years of the ITE Programme at Stirling. I currently serve as the Chief Examiner for Initial Teacher Education.

My scholarship interests are focussed around Policy and Practice within MFL teaching, with a particular interest in Target Language use in MFL Classrooms, as well as Policy nInitiatives which impact the profession in Scotland, for example, the Scottish Government's relatively recent '1+2' Policy.

My research interests include transition (Primary/Secondary) and Language Policy and Practice within MFL teaching.
