Project

Coordinated higher institutions (universities) responses to digitalization (ESCALATE)

Funded by .

ERASMUS+ Research project (not teaching). Consortium involving universities: Exeter, Milan-Bicocca, Timosara, Tallin, Frankfurt and European Regional Labour Market Monitoring Association.. Deadline 21 March.

The project aims to identify, assess and enhance specific mechanisms, strategies and innovation practices that can be deployed by higher education institutions (universities) in their response to digitalization in a globalized digital era, by acknowledging ‘university disruption’. The keen focus is to account for digital education disruption and to enable open-source technology and innovative solutions for both educators and students, leading to increased learning-outcomes that meet the learning needs of students whilst also being relevant to the labour market and societal needs (creating a ‘better’ digital future). Therefore, our project fosters quality improvement and innovation excellence at the level of higher education institutions, as well as the modernization of the education system, through enhanced transnational cooperation aimed to explore what constitutes new and emerging innovative practices in understanding and responding to digitalization and creating accurate digital strategies in reaction to massive shifts towards the use of new technologies, thus remaining relevant in a digital era.
