COVID-19 Rapid Response. Sustaining the resilience and wellbeing of frontline community based care and support workers to vulnerable older people during a time of crisis This CSO funded COVID-19 rapid response project examined factors influencing the resilience staff and volunteers working for community based care organisations for older people during the first six months of the COVID-19 pandemic. The project interviewed 24 members of staff and volunteers working in a range of third sector and voluntary organisations to iidentify factors influencing their resilience and the resilience of the organisations they worked with. A second stage of the project also organised two action learning sets with 11 members of staff across different organisations to explore in greater detail their experiences of the pandemic at that time, and to develop mutual solutions to the problems they faced.. The project concluded in November 2020, with the two action learning sets continuing beyond the lifetime of the project.
