The Environment Agency needs to develop a new lake surveillance monitoring network to provide a representative and statistically valid view of status and trends in the lake resource for the whole of England. Staff from the Environment Agency with expertise in lake monitoring and ecology will work closely with the research contractor on this project, with the contractor providing expert statistical advice and data analysis skills in addition to having an understanding of lake monitoring protocols.
