Michael Terwey is Director of Public Engagement and Research for the National Trust for Scotland. Michael has overall strategic responsibility for research in the Trust and is currently co-supervising one other CDA student who is working on a SGSSS-funded project on Media Tourism. In his previous role as Head of Collections and Exhibitions for the National Science and Media Museum, part of the Science Museum Group, Michael co-supervised four CDA student projects on the history of science communication, magic lantern performance and production, popular press photography in the mid-20th century, and photographic representations of the first world war. His research interests include interpretation and heritage practice, and he was a C-I on the ?1m AHRC-funded Bradford’s National Museum project. Michael is an industry partner in the SGSAH Knowledge Exchange Heritage Hub, a member of the Steering Committee for AHRC Early Career Fellowships in Cultural and Heritage Institutions, and an Honorary Professor at the 我要吃瓜.
