Professor Jayne Donaldson is a Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse Teacher, and? research and innovation interests in healthcare services provision, particularly in terms of the quality and effectiveness of care interventions and provision, and service redesign and improvement.? Jayne has held a few Senior Management positions within the Scottish?healthcare and Higher Education?sector, and is a member of Council of Deans Health Scotland and UK. She was appointed to the Research Excellence Framework for Allied Health, Dentistry, Nursing, and Pharmacy, panel UoA3 for REF 2021.

Research (5)

Jayne has extensive experience in systematic reviewing, and these have included debridement of surgical wounds, the use of herbal medicines in the treatment of psoriasis, and the effectiveness of hospital-based alcohol brief interventions (on going).? Jayne's research interests have used mixed methods and randomised control trials, and has successful PhD/Clinical Doctorate student completions and external/internal examinations for PhD, Clinical Doctorate and Professional Doctorate students. Jayne's current personal?research?projects includes the diagnostic accuracy of a biopsy technique used in prostate cancer, ambulance call out mechanisms. Jayne was a co-author of Cancer Nursing Career, a UK-wide e-learning package within Health Education England platform.
