Abstract
The restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic forced us all inside and moved us to connecting online. The pandemic also shone a spotlight on pre-existing inequities in dementia care and support services. For example, a lack of support groups for LGBTQ+ people living with dementia, who are less likely to have close family for support. Although it was a difficult time for everyone, the severe restrictions kicked into action a group of passionate individuals who wanted to do something about the then lack of online support for LGBTQ+ people living with dementia. Those same people, plus a wealth of new members, continue to work together as the LGBTQ+ Dementia Advisory Group. In this poster, we share some of the successes of the Advisory Group over the past 2 years and where we aim to go next.
