Abstract
This chapter examines and develops the subtitle of Ray L. Hart's GOD BEING NOTHING (University of Chicago Press, 2016): "Toward a Theogony". It explores what might be entailed in "the creation of God" within especially the Christian tradition, and how the notion of nothing is central to that creation. In picking up Hart's idea of "metaxu" (between), it works out a rhythmic metaxu of being operating between God and nothing, which issues in a becoming. Taking Hart's discussion further, this becoming resets both method and logos (as reasoning) toward a productive and active nothing, a nothing that becomes profoundly theological in nature, as it is the very condition for any understanding and enacting of creation in relation to God.
