Abstract
ASSERT Deliverable D2.3 is the creation of the ASSERT Database of experts in the field of societal security. The ASSERT Database has been designed to ‘create a pool of expertise' in societal security. The Database provides a platform for sharing knowledge and expertise relating to societal security and societal impact assessments, as well as opportunities for capacity and network building. This document sets out the features of the ASSERT Database and some of the processes involved in its creation. It should be noted from the outset, that ASSERT Deliverable D2.3, is both the description of the Database contained in this document and the outcome of the related ASSERT Task, which is the ASSERT Database itself. ASSERT Deliverable 2.3 is also closely related to ASSERT Deliverables 2.1 and 2.2 and is the outcome of a range of activities in ASSERT Work Package 2. The ASSERT Database can be accessed online via the ASSERT Toolkit, at URL: http://assert.maisondx.com/lms/
